About the Role
The Global Health News Editor will oversee the development and publication of content related to global health issues, including infectious diseases, health policy, and international health initiatives. This role involves managing a team of writers, editing articles for accuracy and clarity, and ensuring timely coverage of emerging health topics. The editor will also collaborate with external experts and organizations to enhance content quality and relevance.
Salary Range: $145,000 - $167,000
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in journalism, public health, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in health journalism or editing.
Strong editorial skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of global health issues and trends.
Experience managing a team of writers or journalists.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to rapidly changing news environments.
